Caris Indeed Import privacy policy

Effective September 15, 2026. Applies to the Caris Indeed Import extension for Chrome and Firefox.

Purpose and access

The extension helps authorized recruiting staff review and transfer Indeed candidates and available resumes to their Caris HR workspace at hr.ucg.bm. It requires your existing Indeed employer and Caris staff/admin access. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Indeed, Google or Mozilla.

Information handled

When you capture a candidate page, the extension reads candidate names, available contact details and locations, application dates, job titles and status, candidate and job identifiers, source links, profile content and available resume files. A resume may contain additional personal information supplied by the applicant. The extension also reads your signed-in Caris email and available roles to verify the destination account and prevent transferring a queue to the wrong account.

Where information goes

Captured information and resume bytes are saved in this browser profile for your review and to resume interrupted work. Available resume files may also be saved to your Downloads folder. When you choose to import or attach resumes, candidate details are sent over HTTPS to Caris HR and resume files are uploaded to its private Supabase storage. Your organization’s authorized Caris users can then access the imported records according to their permissions.

Imported resumes enter Caris’s existing resume processing workflow, which can extract information and use the workspace’s configured AI processing services. Contact your Caris administrator for the workspace’s processing and retention arrangements. The extension does not independently send data to an AI service.

Your controls

Capture is initiated from the extension. You can turn automatic profile fetching and resume capture off, edit the review queue, select candidates and stop a batch. Import requires review and an explicit import action. The extension does not operate as an unattended account-wide application feed.

Use Clear queue to remove the extension’s saved candidate queue and cached resume bytes. Downloaded copies must be deleted separately from your computer. Clearing or uninstalling the extension does not delete records already imported to Caris. Ask your workspace administrator about access, correction or deletion of imported records. Local queues do not sync across users or browsers.

Permissions

Website access is limited to employers.indeed.com and hr.ucg.bm in the distributed release. Scripting reads selected candidate pages and performs authorized imports through the signed-in Caris tab. Storage keeps your queue and progress. Downloads saves requested resume copies. The extension uses your existing website sessions without reading or storing passwords or session cookies. It does not collect unrelated browsing history, advertising identifiers or analytics telemetry.

Use limitations

Extension data is used to provide the candidate import and resume attachment features. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used to determine creditworthiness or lending eligibility. Its use and transfer of information follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
